Il Podere Scopaione is located in the Maremma countryside, near the beaches of Mount Argentario and the beach towns of Punta Ala, Follonica, Castiglione della Pescaia.

You can discover and savour ancient flavours in the typical Medieval villages set in the surrounding hills, which still today preserve treasured architectural elements, offering views and glimpses of another time.

In all four seasons you will be able to find local feasts characteristic of Maremma tradition and taste typical local dishes accompanied by our wines and oils.
After a judicious restoration, which maintained the particular character of Maremman farm buildings, seven apartments were created in the house, furnished with folk-art style furniture and using a prevalence of terra cotta and chestnut wood.
Far from traffic, guests will find a tranquillity that is rare in this day and age, capable of regenerating the spirit and the body.
You can choose to swim in the pool, ride a mountain bike or pass the day reading a book in the furnished garden, and in the evening use the barbecue or the wood oven to make a tasty dinner flavoured with local oil and accompanied by local wine, and eat al fresco in the clean country air. The apartments, 5 on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor, all have independent entrances. The details and furnishings have been meticulously designed to make your vacation truly relaxing and unforgettable.

The apartments are furnished with refrigerator-freezer, cook top with oven, satellite TV and independent heating. Also at guests’ disposition are: pool with lounge chairs, garden chairs, umbrellas, barbecue grill, wood oven, laundry room with 2 washing machines, mountain bikes, parking area. For outdoor fun we have a swing, a slide, a basketball hoop and a football goal. Animals are not allowed.

Nell’anno 1838, nel cuore della Maremma, ai piedi del poggio di Moscona, poco distante dalla chiesa seicentesca e dalle Terme Lorenesi, l’ingegnere Filippo Passerini iniziò a edificare una casa colonia su due piani.Durante i lavori furono rinvenuti resti, tuttavia visibili di un edificio d’epoca romana, costruito tra il I e il II secolo D.C., cosicché le mura romane vennero usate come fondamenta della casa.
I lavori di costruzione furono portati a termine nel 1865 dal figlio Pietro Passerini (anche lui ingegnere), con l’aggiunta di due grandi stalle.
Così prese vita l’azienda agricola che fu tramandata di generazione in generazione, fino ai giorni nostri, con orgoglio amore per la terra.

The center of the guests hospitality is a farm house built in the 18th century and remodelled using only natural materials, where you will feel a familiar atmosphere and enjoy quiet and relax. Also your four legged friends are welcome.
The farm holiday includes 4 rooms, each one with independent entrance and private bath, in order to guarantee quiet and privacy. The rooms have a very elegant but simple furniture, according to the tuscan tradition , including:bath with shower, double bed with orthopedical structure, one or two armchair which can be used as supplementary bed, a writing desk, a cupboard and on demand will be provided a television set,receiving via satellite. For the cold days the heating will be provided by the gas radiator and a wood oven, which creates a warm and charming ambiance.
For the babies the farm holiday can supply baby bed with the encesssary linen, small bathing shell and babychair.
The spacious country eating room with the well equipped modern kitchen and the imposing fire place has been projected to offer to the guests a real familiar atmosphere. Around the big table will be served a choice of different breakfasts, ranging from the italian, to the continental and the american one.
