Welcome to Catania and to the B&B “I Vicere”.

You’ll be staying in a refined and luxurious apartment situated in the very heart of historic Catania, a stone’s throw from places of great artistic interest and right in the center of the city’s nightlife.

You’ll enjoy breathtaking views from the lounges as well as from the bedrooms, as far as the eye can see. These views will take you from the magnificent “Palazzo Biscari” to the splendid Church of San Placido, the lively Old Port to the Cathedral Domes in Piazza del Duomo, from the rooftops of the old city, with its mansions to the stately Mt. Etna, covered in snow during wintertime or with red-hot lava flow running down its slopes.

The apartment occupies almost all the third floor of a recently remodelled eighteenth-century palace and it is also equipped with a private lift. The rooms are cosy, heated and finely furnished and each apartment has its own bath.

The communal areas allow you to spend pleasant evenings in the company of the friendly landlords, and to enjoy a good shot of “zibibbo” or any other local wine.
Breakfast can be served either in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen or in the marvellous 40 square metres sitting room allowing you to experience the charming atmospheres of a past age.
On request, we can arrange typical Sicilian suppers, single day or multi day tours to several places. We’ll be delighted to take you to our golf courses, exercise lessons including the “pilates method” and much much more…

It is located in the Simeto Valley, province of Catania, at 2 kilometres by the city of Paternò. At 15 kilometres by the Sigonella NATO Military Base, it’s perfectly linked with the beautiest places of oriental Sicily.
There are 6 double rooms and 2 apartments, all with air conditioned, frigobar, television, bathroom with shower, terrace, safebox, cooking corner. The two apartments have complete kitchen and jacuzzi. All rooms are finely furnished with old furniture and author paintings.What to do in the farm: swimming pool 20×10 metres, tennis with lighting, ping pong, and a romantic restaurant by the pool where you can taste sicilian food and wine.

The most important farmhouse, the centre, is in the territory of Saint Leonardello, hamlet of the town of Giarre, in the province of Catania. Here, in rural houses completely restored in harmony and syntony with the sorrounding country, you can enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay, some minutes from the sea and the most important tourist places of Eastern Sicily.The farm prevently with a citrus trend, presents in intercropping with the citrus grove, fruit bearing plants and has chosen the production in a biological regime guarenteeing in such a way the authenticity of its own produce. Guests that stay overnight have the possibility of an excellent refreshment, at S. Leonardello’s farmhouse based on typical and traditional sicilian plates realized with biological products of the kitchen-garden and with fresh fish of the near sea. The assortment of Etna’s D.O.C. wine and the variety of sicilian famous pastry-making is wide. The farmhouse offers to its own guests the possibility to choose and to buy genuine just picked produce: lemons, kumquats, vegetables, fresh fruit, eggs, dried fruit. In an extraordinary setting, lying softly on the ground, there rises-stately but not haughty- the holiday farm kikajon.
It is placed just at the feet of Mount Etna, in Sciaramanica Road, in the town of Linguaglossa, province of Catania, on the road called “Mareneve” which leads to piano Provenzana.
The farm has a charming view and looks full of flowers, having Mount Etna at its back, the town of Linguaglossa (with its roofs and churches) in front of it and down the valley the blue Ionian Sea.
The farm is placed on a mound at about 800 mt. Above the sea level.
The climate is the one typical of the Sicilian hills, i.e. cool, airy, imbued whith silence and made charming also by the famous Etna brooms.
The holiday farm kikajon is a typical farmhouse built at the end of the 19th century, surrounded by rows of vines and by a fairly good plantation of olive trees and fruit trees. The house, changed into a farm was built in that period in order to exploit the land, mainly by the cultivation of vines.
It is a very well terraced land, as it is the patient work of past generations.
One can only find an equally well terraced land in the Ligurian area of the “five lands”.
Both the vines and the farm make one understand and appreciate the life, the work, the culture and the handicraft of the Etna people.
As to the culture of the vineyard-farm, the old appearance and architectural volumes have been kept integrally and meticulously, particularly the millstone, with its wooden press and its receiver.
The holiday farm kikajon covers an area of 4 hectares also destined to the wholly biological cultivation of seasonal vegetables.
Various kinds of animals ranging from chickens to horses are bred in the farm.
Besides, wine, oil, products in oil and liqueurs are homemade.
They can all be purchased directly by the guests.
Kikajon is a jewish word trasnsliterated into the Italian language with the letter K.
We can find this word in the Bible, in the Book of Jonah.
Kikajon is the name of a tree, the castor-oil plant.
Showing great concern for Jonah and benevolent irony, God makes a castor-oil plant sproutfrom the ground in order to protect the prophet Jonah’s head from a burning sun and, above all, in order to deliver him from his evil, namely from his vision of both a life and a world without love.
Kikajon actually is a name thath means respect for all human beings, hope, farsightedness; that aims at creating sharing, projects and culture, and that invites everybody not to feel ashamed of one’s dreamsand to pursue them whith firmness, patience and whith the help of one’s friends.
