The ‘Marulla’ Holiday Farmhouse sits on a peak between the valleys of the rivers Aso and Tenna, at an altitude of 750 metres and within a kilometre of Montefalcone Appennino. On a clear day, this unique location overlooking the Sibillini Hills offers a breathtaking panorama reaching down to the Adriatic Sea. The old barn, which has belonged to the Marziali family for over two hundred years, has been converted into comfortable self-catering flats with a pleasant country atmosphere. The flats are all quite independent and provided with TV, central heating, bathrooms with showers, and one has been purpose-built for guests with disabilities. The complex also houses a restaurant which caters for up to 50 guests, offering the best of traditional, local Marche dishes, and an outdoor swimming pool (12×5.50m) with a stunning vista by day and which is illuminated by night, where guests can enjoy cool summer evenings outdoors. The complex and its surroundings are contained within a protected area which is home to endangered animals and plants.

Mountain lovers can enjoy the quiet of the woods that are within easy reach by mountain bike, and nature lovers can embark on the many nature trails in the area.

Specialised staff from the local Environmental Education Centre (CEA) are available to guide holidaymakers on fossil-hunting expeditions in this area that is very rich in fossil sites.

At the top of a hill, under which the Indaco stream runs, and close to the Marche medieval village of Ortezzano, stands a “casa di contadini” (old peasant house), finally transformed into a wonderful Country House.

It is the ideal place for seeing the “Piceni” sights. It’s situated in a strategic position, close to the sea and the mountains, and is ideal for those who love and appreciate the peculiarity of Marche traditions and those looking for rural tourism, close to nature. The surrounding country side, rich fruit trees and vineyards, has a beautiful view of the Aso valley.

All six flats (each different from the others) are meticulously furnished with pieces from the 19th and 20th centuries. Each one has a bathroom with a shower, air-conditioned rooms, TV, fully equipped kitchen (with refrigerator, oven, washing machine, dishwasher), independent central heating, private entrance with veranda and a private garden.

The swimming-pool (12×6 metres) is shared by the 4 apartments and can be used all year long, being covered during the cold period. For sport lovers there is the possibility of trekking and mountain-bike riding along the quiet of the surrounding hills.

La piscine (12×6 m.) est accessible toute l?année car elle est couverte pendant l?hiver. Pour les passionnés du sport, il y a la possibilité de pratiquer du trekking et du vtt sur les collines des alentours. Ils existent également un terrain de tennis et de foot à 1 km. Il y a la possibilité de faire du cheval à 9 km et des petits lacs pour la pèche sportive à 11 km.

L’Agriturismo-Agricampeggio “Al fiume” Vi attende a Grottazzolina, in Contrada Fonte Carrà n° 26, in una zona pianeggiante lungo il fiume Tenna, a 145 m sul livello del mare. Si trova all’interno di un’azienda agricola biologica di 6 ettari (seminativo, olivo, arboreti da legno), in una zona isolata e a tratti selvaggia ma collegata con il centro abitato e tutti i servizi e le attività commerciali attraverso 2 km di una comoda strada asfaltata (Via S. Isidoro). Si caratterizza per la tranquillità dei luoghi, la totale libertà d’azione degli ospiti (che hanno a disposizione l’intera struttura compresi gli ampi spazi esterni) e la possibilità di compiere escursioni sia nelle immediate vicinanze della struttura che a breve distanza. A poco più di 200 m si trova il fiume Tenna dove si può pescare o compiere passeggiate a piedi o in mountain bike). Alloggi. Potrete alloggiare in 4 appartamenti composti da locale soggiorno con angolo cottura, camera matrimoniale con letti aggiunti e WC con doccia. A richiesta possiamo ospitare famiglie numerose o gruppi in appartamenti comunicanti. L’appartamento al piano terra può accogliere ospiti disabili grazie al facile accesso, alle dimensioni e ai servizi adeguati.
La vecchia stalla è stata restaurata e trasformata in ampio soggiorno comune con cucina, camino, TV e WC mentre all’esterno è disponibile un forno a legna e il barbecue. La sistemazione esterna ha sfruttato e valorizzato l’ambiente preesistente caratterizzato dalla presenza di alcuni grandi e vecchi alberi propri dell’ambiente fluviale (salici, pioppi, gelso rosa, acacie) in grado di fornire un ideale riparo dalla calura estiva.
Agricampeggio -L’Agriturismo-Agricampeggio “Al fiume” ha diverse prerogative di sicuro interesse per il campeggiatore (inserito dal 2004 nel circuito AgriPleinAir. Ci sono 4 piazzole di sosta con fondo erboso da 60 mq dotate di presa elettrica, allaccio acqua ed illuminazione. Ciascuna dispone di un blocco servizi privati composto da bagno con doccia calda e una veranda con piano di lavoro e lavello. Inoltre c’è tanto spazio a disposizione, posto macchina, e pozzetto di scarico acque nere, caratteristiche rare nelle normali strutture.
