A typical farmhause in the Morenic hills of Mantua, immersed in the greenery of the Mincio Park in an area close to the river of the same name; Corte Canale Virgilio is the ideal holiday place for nature lovers, in the tranquillity of a farmhouse on the banks of the Mincio and only a short distance from Garda Lake, Mantova and Verona.The recent restructuring of an old arcade has provided four holiday apartments. Each two-roomed flats is comprising of bedroom with double bed and two singles beds ,bathroom with shower, living room with sofà bed and kitchen with cooking utensils; all simply and tastefully furnished, each of which has hits own entry.

Casa Rè is situated in the heart of Oltrepo Pavese, precisely in Montecalvo Versiggia, near Santa Maria della Versa, up to a sunny and sweet hill. It is completely enclosed of vineyards and it is composed by a lot of buildings, including the cellars, the stock magazine, the bottling and some houses. The agritourism is located in one of these houses.
It is composed by 5 apartments with big terrasse for 2 persons and 1 flat for 4/5 persons. The flats have a beautiful view on the Chardonnay grapes, that invite to live all the day on the open air. The flats, 40 square meters, are for 2 persons. It is composed by a cooking facilities( like the American kitchen), a double bed and a bathroom with shower.
There is also a big flat , for 4/5 persons, 90 square meters, that has a kitchen, a living room, two double rooms and a bathroom. It is on the first level. We will give bed-linen, bath towels, table cloth; dishes, glass, pots; refrigerator, micro- waves, electric fan; TV

Casa Rè is situated in a very peaceful land and very sunny. So a lot of people come here to relax themselves, to live into the nature, to go with mountain bike, to make excursion and to visit the nearest cities like:

We are 1 km far from Santa Maria della Versa, an important town for wines. There you can find: supermarkets, restaurants, bars, box office, banks, a swimming pool. Beginning of Stay: Saturday from 3 p.m. till 7 p.m. End of Stay: Saturday within 10 a.m.

Our farm faces the Zavattarello castle, which is first referred to in 971. A census in 1497 indicated that our farm hosted 3 families, while in Zavattarello there were 73 families. Today there are more than 1000 people in Zavattarello, while at Casa Canevaro there are still only 4 families. Here time has really stood still. The beautiful natural environment makes us the ideal place to detoxify physically and spiritually. We are situated on top of a hill 450 meters above sea level in a key geographic position, where a constant breeze from the Liguria riviera cools the warm summer days and keeps winter days mild. You can have lunch outside in the sun while it’s cold and foggy in Milan. While you need air conditioning to sleep in the summer in the city, here you might need blankets at night, due to the fact that the house is totally constructed in stone. You can relax disturbed only by singing of the birds or by the soft flowing of the Tidone stream. The lights of the town of Zavattarello, fire flies and the illuminated Zavattarello castle that dominates the valley combine into an enchanted scenario to wish you good night.

Our farm has cultivated organically since 1985 and produces wheat, vegetables, fruit and poultry. Come and visit

Notes: The Farmhouse is located in Parco del Mincio and was created in 1498. It is placed near to the famous “Bosco della Fontana”, Gonzaga hunting preserve during the 1600s, which has a lot of centuries-old trees, like oaks, hornbeams and maples. It is operative office of the national center for the study of forest biodiversity; there are a lot of animals, just like stone marten, polecat and weasel; among birds there are a lot species linked with the presence of biscos, like red major woodpecker and torcicollo, apart from various birds of prey. There are various birds linked with the presence of water, like ducks and others.

A few metres away there is a beautiful cycle track, alongside the perimeter of the wood. It reach Peschiera, on Garda Lake, crossing nice landscapes of Parco del Mincio, which alternate valley and hill..

From Mantua, direction Brescia. On Cittadella, turn left for Brescia-Lago di Garda, alter about 3 km, on the round, drive on for Brescia, after 500m turn left for Bosco Fontana and then after 200m turn right on the first crossroads.

The Farm holidays is 30 km from Verona, 100 km from Venice, 20 km from Villafranca Airport, 25 km from Peschiera.
